Dayton, OH â RHP Damian Ursin has been activated from the disabled list and will get the start for the Dayton Dragons in Thursday's 2004 home finale at Fifth Third Field against the Battle Creek Yankees. Ursin has not pitched for the Dragons since pulling a hamstring in his last appearance August 13th vs. West Michigan. In 19 games for the Dragons in '04, seven as a starting pitcher, Ursin is 0-6 with a 5.91 ERA in 64.0 innings of work.
RHP Jon George has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to September 1, 2004 with a sprained ring finger on his pitching hand. George was injured on August 22nd in a game at Kane County when a line drive deflected off his pitching hand. George appeared in 18 games for the Dragons, 12 as a starting pitching. The right hander posted a 1-7 record with a 5.56 ERA. The Dragons roster sits at 24, one below the league max of 25.
