Toledo, OH- Avenging a loss the night before, the Toledo Walleye defeated the Kalamazoo Wings 3-2 in overtime in the second half of a home-and-home series.

For the second straight night, the K-Wings wasted no time getting on the board. Creating a turnover in the neutral zone, Darryl Lloyd pushed the puck up ice and capitalized on his teams two-on-one odd man rush. Lloyd's initial shot was stopped by goaltender Scott Campbell, but Lloyd (1st), quickly stuck back his own rebound 3:16 into the contest.

The most prolific scoring line in the ECHL continued their dominance in the second period to lengthen Kalamazoo's lead to two goals. Skating in the left corner early in the second period, Jordan Fulton found Kory Karlander (5th) in the slot for one-timer. The goal gives Karlander points in all of the K-Wings nine games this season. Also assisting on the goal was Brandon Svendsen, who pushed his point streak to eight games.

Starting the season 1-for-41 on the power play, Toledo made amends for their poor start with three unanswered man-advantage goals.

Zack Torquato (3rd) crept the Walleye back to within a single goal scoring on a 5-on-3 power-play early in the period.

Later in the third, Randy Rowe (3rd) deflected a Sebastien Piche blue line shot to knot the game at 2-2.

In overtime, Portage native, Evan Rankin knocked in his team-leading fourth goal of the season to secure the victory for the Walleye.

The K-Wings finished the night 0-for-5 on the power-play, while the Walleye went 3-for-6 with the man-advantage.
