Wranglers Halted by Grizzlies in OT, 3-2

Las Vegas, NV- The first meeting between the Las Vegas Wranglers® and the Grizzlies of the 2010-11 season went to overtime with defenseman Nick Tuzzolino netting the game-winning power play goal at the 1:20 mark of the extra frame. Utah goalie Andrew Engelage earned his third win of the season turning away 25 of 27 shots and center Paul Crowder tallied two goals. Joe Fallon took his first overtime loss, making 34 saves on 37 shots. Right winger Vince Bellissimo tallied his first goal in his first game for Las Vegas and Colin Long scored late in the third, both goals were assisted by Ned Lukacevic. The Wranglers were unable to find the win in overtime as they fell to 2-3-1 this season.

After the first period the Wranglers held a one-goal lead as Vince Bellissimo found the back of the net with an assist from Ned Lukacevic at the 10:23 mark.

The second period saw two unanswered goals from Grizzlies center Paul Crowder. The first goal at the 7:37 mark was assisted by brother, Tim Crowder. The second goal came at the 8:17 mark with an assist from former Wrangler Hugo Carpentier. After two periods the Grizzlies were on top 2-1.

The Wranglers were able to tally the game tying goal late in the third at the 13:50 mark as Colin Long blasted a slap shot rebound past goaltender Andrew Engelage with an assist going to Ned Lukacevic. Regulation ended tied at two goals.

A short over time period ended at the 1:20 mark as Grizzly Nick Tuzzolino found a hole through traffic with a slap shot from the point assisted by Hugo Carpentier, his second assist of the night.

The Wranglers look to bounce back tomorrow night as they host Utah again. The puck drops at 7:05 PM.
