Goaltender Ben Scrivens Assigned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Ben Scrivens has been re-assigned to the Royals from the Marlies. In separate transactions also announced today, the Royals: (i) released goaltender Shane Davis as the team's Emergency Back-Up Goaltender; and (ii) waived goaltender Travis Yonkman, who had been claimed on waivers yesterday. Scrivens had been recalled by the Marlies from Reading on Thursday. He served as a back-up in Toronto's 3-2 shootout loss to the Houston Aeros last night. In five games with the Royals, Scrivens has compiled a 2-3-0-0 record with a 2.85 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.

The Royals take on the Elmira Jackals tonight (Saturday, November 6 @ 7:35 pm) at First Arena in Elmira, New York. The Royals' broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by the Works at Wyomissing at 7:05 pm on the Royals Broadcast Network (WRAW 1340 am in Reading, www.1340wraw.com).
