TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
Tonight the Cyclones return to WesBanco Arena for the first time in the 2010-11 regular season in search of revenge. The Nailers beat up on the Cyclones 7-3 last Saturday at U.S.
Bank Arena to spoil Cincinnati's home opener. Nick Petersen had 4 goals in the game for Wheeling.
SCOUTING THE NAILERS:
Wheeling currently leads the North Division with a 6-2-0 record and 12 points. The Nailers haven't played a game since last Saturday's meeting with the Cyclones at U.S. Bank Arena. Four different Wheeling players are tied for the team lead in points. David Marshall, Joey Haddad, Andrew Lord and Ben Street all have 7 points to start the year, while Nailers goalie Patrick Killeen ranks 4th in the ECHL with a 1.93 GAA.
WORKING OT HASN'T BEEN GOOD:
The Cyclones are tied for the ECHL lead in OT games played. With last night's extra-session defeat, Cincinnati has now appeared in three OT games. They've only been victorious in one of them.
KILLEEN HAS BEEN STINGY:
For Cincinnati to win tonight, they'll have to find a way to beat one of the hottest goaltenders in the league. Patrick Killeen leads all ECHL goalies with 5 wins and ranks in the top 5 in two other statistical categories: Save percentage (93.6%) and GAA (1.93).
