Condors fall to Stockton

Stockton, Calif. - Fights highlighted the night as the Bakersfield Condors (4-4-0-0, 8pts) fell to the Stockton Thunder (3-1-1-1, 8pts) by a score of 7-0 in front of 6,707 fans on Friday night at Stockton Arena.

The Thunder wasted no time jumping on the Condors in the first period. C Craig Valette and LW Jesse Gimblett scored goals within 1:23. C Chris Lawrence added to Stockton's lead with 3:37 left in the first period, as the Condors trailed 3-0 after one period.

The Condors had opportunities to crack the score sheet with two power plays in the second period, but were continually frustrated by G Bryan Pitton and the Thunder defense. The Condors were only able to fire 13 shots on goal through two periods of play.

The Condors needed three goals going into the third period, but Stockton quickly put Bakersfield into a bigger deficit. RW Frasier Clair and C Chris d'Alvise each scored in the first three minutes of the period to take a 5-0 lead. They added two more at the end of the contest to finish with the 7-0 victory.
