
Jurassic (Ball)park: Dinosaur to Throw out First Pitch on May 30

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (May 23, 2014) - The Kannapolis Intimidators will open the game on Friday, May 30, with a prehistoric first pitch as Dakota the Dinosaur and the Dinosaur Response Squad visit CMC-NorthEast Stadium. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. As seen at The Science Center, Dakota and his Dino friends will be on hand throughout the game to interact with children as well as help intimidate that evening's opponent, the Hagerstown Suns.
Tickets are available to see this dinosaur at the diamond by calling the F&M Bank Box Office at (704) 932-3267 or by visiting IntimidatorsBaseball.com. Dakota will be available for pictures beginning when gates open at 6 p.m. leading up to his first pitch. The Dinosaur Response Squad will be available for pictures with fans throughout the game.
The Kannapolis Intimidators are in the 20th season of professional baseball in Kannapolis and the team's 14th as the Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Since the team moved to Kannapolis in 1995, 77 players that have played in Kannapolis have gone on to the Major Leagues.
