Nineteen Hit Attack Gives Greensboro Win

Rome, GA - The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Rome Braves on Friday night by a score of 14-4 before a crowd of 3,419.

Greensboro got on the board in the second on an RBI sacrifice fly by Carlos Lopez and an RBI single by Kentrell Dewitt for the 2-0 score. Rome answered in the bottom of the inning with a two run double by Conner Lien to tie the game at 2-2. The Grasshoppers regained the lead in the third on a bases loaded double by Lopez to make the score 5-2. A six run fourth inning by Greensboro made it an 11-2 game and they would never look back as they would go on for the victory 14-4.

Matt Milroy (5-2) picks up the win while A.J. Holland (1-2) gets the loss. Connor Lien was 2 for 4 tonight with 2 RBI in his first appearance with the Rome Braves. Greensboro's Felix Munoz went 5-6 and scored five times while Carlos Lopez 2-3 with six RBI.
