Hickory, NC - The Hickory Crawdads are celebrating their first All-Star Game in 13 years with two full days of events, starting with the Downtown All-Star Bash "Under the Sails" on Monday, June 16th from 6 - 10 pm.
Presented by the City of Hickory, the Hickory Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Downtown Hickory Association, the Crawdads Downtown All-Star Bash will serve as the opening ceremony for the 55th Annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game in Hickory. Fans, league executives, and the All-Star players themselves will gather "Under the Sails" for food, music, and the Fan vs. All-Star Cornhole Tournament.
The Downtown All-Star Bash is free and open for the public to attend throughout the night. Tickets that include food, beer and Pepsi products are $25 for adults (must be 21 or older to consume alcoholic beverages), and $12 for those 20 and younger (includes food and Pepsi products).
Tickets can be purchased online at www.hickorycrawdads.com, at the Cloninger Ford of Hickory Ticket office at L.P. Frans Stadium, or over the phone by calling (828) 322-3000.
Other events scheduled around the June 17th All-Star Game include the SAL Hall-of-Fame Induction Luncheon, the free Fan Fest prior to the game, the Pre-Game VIP Picnic, and the Post-Game After Party.
