Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
Cincinnati, Ohio â The Cincinnati Cyclones, an affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks, today announced the signing of free agent forward Josh Maser.
Maser, who has racked up 448 penalty minutes in 122 career professional games with the Austin Ice Bats of the Western Professional Hockey League and the Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League, will wear #49 and is available for selection when the Cyclones travel to Toledo this Saturday. The native of Medicine Hat, Alberta spent three seasons in the Western Hockey League before turning pro. Maser plays right wing and is listed as 6'1", 200 lbs.
To make room for Maser the Cyclones released first-year forward Sebastien Thinel. The rookie appeared in two games with Cincinnati this season and registered a â1 rating.
"Josh adds another element to our team," said Cyclones Head Coach Malcolm Cameron. "He can play the game, but there's no secret as to why he's a professional hockey player. Just look at the kid's numbers, they speak for themselves. We're glad to have him on our side."
In related team news, the club moved defenseman Robin Delacour from the 7-Day IR List to the 30-Day IR List. The Cyclones also placed defenseman Tom Scantlebury on the 7-Day IR List.
"Neither injury is serious," said Cameron. "Our schedule is a little light right now, so it's a time to get guys healthy for November when we have more games to go through in a shorter time period."
Cyclones individual game tickets are now on sale to the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the U.S. Bank Arena Box Office between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Fans can also purchase tickets through all Ticketmaster outlets, including select Kroger's stores, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or charge tickets by phone by calling (513) 562-4949.
For more information on pricing and ticket options, please call the Cyclones at (513) 421-7825 ext. 144.
For Wire Transaction Only: Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) sign forward Josh Maser, waive forward Sebastien Thinel, move defenseman Robin Delacour from the 7-Day IR List to the 30-Day IR List, and place defenseman Tom Scantlebury on the 7-Day IR List.
