Greenville Grrrowl News Release

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl of the East Coast Hockey League on Friday announced two roster moves. JAMIE MUSWAGON cleared waivers today at Noon, and is now considered a free agent eligible to sign with any team interested in his services. Muswagon recorded 1 assist and 6 penalty minutes in two games with the Grrrowl before being placed on waivers yesterday afternoon.

VP of Hockey Operations/Head Coach John Marks also announced the signing of forward KRZYSZTOF WIECKOWSKI. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Wieckowski finished a successful four-year collegiate career last season at Cornell University. The Ottawa, Ontario native recorded 25 goals, 26 assists, 51 points and 86 penalty minutes in 128 career games with the Big Red.

"He is an excellent skater with real good hands", said Marks. "Right now his biggest asset is his size and defensive play, though he has the potential to put up some good offensive number as well." Wieckowski will wear jersey number 19.

The defending Kelly Cup Champions open a home and home series with the Southeast Division rival Columbus Cottonmouths tonight at the BI-LO Center (7:05 PM, Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD). Tickets for all Grrrowl home games are on sale at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets.
