Lake County Captains News Release
EASTLAKE, OH - CV Marketing Group, LLC, in partnership with Corporate Vision League, is proud to announce that the Second Annual Joe Haden & Friends Celebrity Softball Game, presented by Lake Health, will take place at Classic Park in Eastlake, OH, the home of the Lake County Captains Professional Baseball Club, this Saturday.
The special event will feature a pre-game homerun hitting contest at 6 PM before the 7 PM softball game that will include Haden's teammates playing against professional football players from other teams in a seven-inning contest. Gates will open to the public at 5 PM.
Haden has received commitments from several of his friends who compete on other professional football teams, including Larry Fitzgerald, Colin Kaepernick, Dez Bryant, Odell Beckham Jr., Kam Chancellor, AJ Green, Mike Pouncey, Maurkice Pouncey, Randall Cobb, Richard Sherman, TJ Ward and Torrey Smith.
Legendary professional football star Deion Sanders will also be traveling to Northeast Ohio to join Haden for this great event.
Several of Haden's teammates, including Johnny Manziel, Donte Whitner, Justin Gilbert & Phil Taylor will be participating in the game. Other teammates will be announced at a later date.
The softball game is designed to be an interactive experience between players and attendees with opportunities to take photos with, and get autographs from the game's participants and be entertained by in-game promotions and giveaways.
In January, Haden was named a Global Ambassador of Special Olympics, the first professional football player to receive the title, and a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit local Special Olympics chapters.
All tickets for the event are reserved, with Grandstand seats only $25 in advance and $40 on the day of the game.
Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased in-person at the Classic Park Box Office, over the phone at 440.954.WINS and online at CaptainsBaseball.com.
In addition to the Special Olympics, other proceeds from the game, including a softball game-used jersey auction, will benefit the Lake County Captains 501c3 non-profit organization, Captains Charities, which benefits local youth sports and educational programs, the Lake Health Foundation.
