Jets Re-Assign Patrice Cormier to St. John's

The Winnipeg Jets announced they have re-assigned forward Patrice Cormier to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Cormier, 24, was recently recalled from St. John's on Dec. 8, joining the Winnipeg Jets on their recent two-game road trip in Dallas & Colorado. He has yet to appear in a game for the Jets this season. Cormier has played in 17 games this season with the St. John's IceCaps collecting 10 points (4G, 6A) and 21 penalty minutes. He has compiled five points (1G, 4A) in 49 career NHL games with Winnipeg and the Atlanta Thrashers. The Moncton, NB native has collected 85 points (40G, 45A) and 277 penalty minutes in 180 AHL games with St. John's and the Chicago Wolves. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
