Jackals Receive Garbowsky; Lundstrom Reassigned to Chicago

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that the team has received forward Matt Garbowsky from the Rochester Americans. Additionally, the club announced today that goaltender Niklas Lundstrom has been reassigned by the St. Louis Blues to the Chicago Wolves.

Garbowsky, 25, skated in 15 games with the Americans logging one assist this season. The St. George, Ont. native also has logged three points in five games with the Jackals. Garbowsky was a standout performer at the Rochester Institute of Technology prior to turning pro.

Lundstrom, 22, heads to Chicago for the first time this season after posting a record of 8-3-0, a 2.92 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in 13 games with the Jackals. The Varmdo, Sweden native was a fifth round draft pick by St. Louis in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
