IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals take on the Charlotte Checkers at First Arena at 7:05 p.m. The meeting is the first between the two in Elmira, and will be the only one ever in the regular season as the Checkers will move to the AHL beginning next season.
The Jackals are coming off a 6-3 win in Reading this past Sunday, extending their road winning streak to eight games. Charlotte has not lost in regulation in six-straight games and has been victorious in each of the last four games.
