Isotopes Snap Winning Streak on Holly Holm Night

The Albuquerque Isotopes (5-5) had their four-game winning streak come to an end tonight, as the Tacoma Rainiers (7-2) won 5-3 on Holly Holm Night at Isotopes Park.

Fans arrived as early as 3:00 p.m. for a chance to receive their very own Holly Holm bobblehead. "The Preacher's Daughter" was in attendance at the game and threw out the ceremonial first pitch to the Isotopes Tim Smalling.

Fans also had the opportunity to bid on Holly Holm-themed jersey throughout the game. For those who missed out on the jerseys, there is still a chance to come away with online auction f that continues through Monday. For those who were outbid during the silent auction jerseys are still available via an online auction ending Monday at 5 p.m.

As for the game, the Isotopes took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to Mike Tauchman's RBI single and a sac fly from Jordan Patterson. The Rainiers responded with one run in the second and then tied the score in the fourth on Ed Lucas' RBI double to right.

Mike Zunino led off the sixth with a solo home run into the Isotopes' bullpen to put Tacoma ahead 3-2. Albuquerque quickly evened the scored at three in the bottom half, after Patterson recorded his second RBI of the contest with a single to right.

The 3-3 score did not last long tough as Tacoma struck for two runs in the seventh on Chris Taylor's RBI single and Zunino's sac fly to left. Mayckol Guaipe closed out the ninth to seal the victory for the Raineirs.

The Isotopes will play the third game of their series against the Rainiers tomorrow afternoon. Right-hander Eddie Butler (1-0, 4.50) will make his third start for Albuquerque, while Tacoma will send right-hander Donn Roach (1-0, 3.18). First pitch from Isotopes Park is scheduled for 1:35 p.m.
