From the Notes

Punch from the Pen: Four Nashville relievers (Ryan Brasier, Daniel Coulombe, Tucker Healy and Patrick Schuster) have not allowed any runs in 2016. In 13 combined appearances, they have worked 18.2 innings and have allowed only 2 hits while recording 24 strikeouts.

Pinder's Quick Turnaround: Just five days ago, Chad Pinder was hitting .111 (2-for-18) with 9 strikeouts. Manager Steve Scarsone gave Pinder a day off and it has paid dividends. Since the day off, Pinder has hit safely in three straight games (5-for-12) and has his batting average up to .233.

Another Tight Contest: The Sounds are tied with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox with the most 1 or 2-run games played this season with 7 each. Nashville is 3-4 in such games and Colorado Springs is 4-3.

Back-to-Back Jacks: It had been just over a year since the Sounds hit back-to-back home runs. The last duo to accomplish the feat was Joey Wendle and Kent Matthes who took Sky Sox pitcher Rob Wooten deep on April 12, 2015 at Colorado Springs.

250: Sounds starter Sean Manaea is closing in on 250 career strikeouts. He is sitting at 242 going into tonight's start in only 201.1 innings pitched.
