Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

In a matchup of Musgrove versus Musgrave on the hill, the latter picked up the victory for the Isotopes (23-29), opening an abbreviated four-game homestand against the Fresno Grizzlies (Triple-A Astros) with Albuquerque coming out on top 5-3.

Isotopes starter Harrison Musgrave earned his second consecutive win, throwing 5.0 scoreless innings on Tuesday night at Isotopes Park. The southpaw allowed four hits, striking out three, and walking five en route to the victory.

Stealing the show both offensively and defensively was the returning Alex Castellanos for the Isotopes. The utility man flashed leather at third base, making two diving plays at the hot corner. The 29-year-old also had a solid game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Castellanos previously spent time in Albuquerque from 2012-13, registering a .291 (212-for-729) batting average, 36 home runs, and 113 RBI over 199 games with the Isotopes.

Outfielder Stephen Cardullo produced the big blast at the plate for the Isotopes, belting a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. The long ball for Cardullo now puts him one ahead of catcher Tom Murphy for the team lead with six.

Murphy and centerfielder Mike Tauchman also contributed to the Isotopes victory, each knocking in a run of their own on the night.

The Isotopes look to make it two in a row when lefty Tyler Anderson (0-0, 1.50) takes the hill, making his second Triple-A start. He will be opposed by Fresno's Brady Rodgers (3-3, 3.64). First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 7:05 p.m.
