Hottest Stretch in the PCL ERA: The current 16-1 stretch the Sounds are on is tied for the hottest 17-game stretch since the team joined the Pacific Coast League in 1998. The team started the 2003 season 14-1 and had a 15-game winning streak from June 2-20 of 1999 which is the longest winning streak in franchise history.

What a Month of May: With last night's win, the Sounds finished the month of May with a 22-8 record. The 22 wins is tied for the most in professional baseball with Double-A Akron who went 22-7. The other pro teams to have 20 wins this month include San Francisco (21-8), Double-A Corpus Christi (21-8) and Advanced-A San Jose (21-9). Fellow PCL member El Paso went 20-10 in May.

In the Mix after Six: The Sounds trailed 3-2 after six innings last night and came back to win. It's the first time (1-13) they've trailed after six innings and won a game.

Serious about early in the Series: In games one and two in series this season, the Sounds are 19-8. They're a respectable 13-12 in games three and four.

Wild Wendle: Second baseman Joey Wendle is on fire over his current six-game hitting streak. He's batting .481 (13-for-27) with 9 RBI, 7 runs scored, 4 doubles, 2 triples and 1 home run. His 13 hits since May 26 is the most in the PCL.

The Whiff: Starter Chris Smith became the third Sounds pitcher to record a double-digit strikeout game when he fanned 10 last night. He joins Sean Manaea (11 - 4/16 @ OKC) and Eric Surkamp (10 - 4/29 @ RR).
