Star Wars weekend benefitting breast cancer research highlights upcoming Grizzlies

FRESNO, Calif. - The fifth Fresno Grizzlies homestand of the 2016 season is scheduled for June 4-12, with eight games against the El Paso Chihuahuas (San Diego Padres, June 4-7) and the Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles Angels, June 9-12) for the defending Triple-A National Champions. Here is a preview of the week's promotional schedule:
6/4 (7:05 p.m.) - Carlos Correa Bobblehead Night presented by PG&E: Want to score your very own limited edition bobblehead of the 2015 American League Rookie of the Year? They're available the first game of the homestand, but only as part of the exclusive Correa bobblehead ticket pack. Fans should call 559-320-TIXS to secure their tickets and bobblehead, which commemorates the 24 games Carlos Correa spent with the Fresno Grizzlies on his way to big league stardom. It's also "Heroes Night" at Chukchansi Park, as we pay tribute to first responders, and "Dental Awareness Night" presented by the California Dental Hygienists' Association.
6/5 (1:05 p.m.) - Save Mart Sunday: A pre-game future-Houston Astros autograph session with two Grizzlies as a part of Save Mart Sundays, and post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Sun-Maid. Fans can also score $5 tickets for this game by showing a Save Mart receipt! (Some restrictions may apply.) It's also Sunrun Sunday, where fans can stop by the Sunrun booth to win Grizzlies Bucks for use anywhere in the stadium!
6/6 (7:05 p.m.) - Must Catch Monday: Get two Field Level Reserve tickets, two Fresno Chaffee Zoo vouchers, two Blackbeard's mini golf vouchers and two John's Incredible Pizza Kid's Buffets...all for just $22! Presented by The Fresno Bee.
6/7 (11:05 a.m.) - Taco Tuesday: It's Tuesday at the ballpark, which can only mean one thing: The Fresno Tacos are back in town! Enjoy food from local taco trucks (including this week's featured truck, Ortega's) throughout the game as we celebrate Fresno's taco legacy. The Grizzlies will be donning the uniforms of their alter-ego for the game, the 2016 "Fresno Tacos," and the caps and jerseys are currently available in the Grizzlies Team Store. Get 2-for-1 Field Box and Phoenix Club tickets, $2 tacos, $2 churros and $2 sodas through the fifth inning.
6/9 (7:05 p.m.) - Tecate Thursday: It's also another Tecate Thursday, with $2 Tecate and Tecate Light (24 oz!) available through the 5th inning! Sodas (12 oz) are also just $1 all game on Thursdays.
6/10 (7:05 p.m.) - Star Wars Weekend: In-ballpark Star Wars characters (movie quality!) presented by the 501st Legion Central California Garrison. Following the game, stick around for a Laser Light Show set to Star Wars music, presented by PG&E. It's Friday night at Chukchansi Park, which means it's another Farm Grown Friday, with an in-ballpark farmer's market prior to and during the game, presented by Whole Foods. Also be sure to stay in your seats mid-game for another "Drag Kings" performance, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino.
6/11 (7:05 p.m.) - Star Wars Weekend: In-ballpark Star Wars characters (movie quality!) presented by the 501st Legion Central California Garrison. FORCE FOR THE CURE: On the field, the Grizzlies will be wearing special Storm Trooper Star-Wars themed jerseys, which will be available for bid via silent auction on the concourse during the game. All proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen Central Valley. Limited edition pink lightsabers are also available as a giveaway, but only as part of a ticket pack exclusive for the June 11 game (call 559-320-TIXS for more details). Orange lightsabers will be available in the Grizzlies Team Store.
6/12 (5:05 p.m.) - Star Wars Weekend | Save Mart Sunday: It's "GrizzCon" at the ballpark, where Star Wars fans and any fans of the genre can sell, trade and collect comics and fan memorabilia. It's also our Family Catch on the Field day, beginning at 4:05. A pre-game future-Houston Astros autograph session with two Grizzlies as a part of Save Mart Sundays, and post-game kids run the bases, presented by Sun-Maid.
