Irwin, Wiles Signed to Tryout Contracts

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that forwards Brayden Irwin and Sean Wiles have both been signed to AHL training camp tryout agreements.

Irwin, 26, played 38 games for the Florida Everblades last season in the ECHL and scored 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists). He finished the campaign in the AHL with the Norfolk Admirals, scoring four points (one goal, three assists) in 20 games. After a four-year career at the University of Vermont, Irwin played in two games for the Toronto Maple Leafs toward the end of the 2009-10 season.

Wiles, 26, skated in 61 games in the ECHL for the Las Vegas Wranglers last season. He had 39 points (26 goals, 13 assists) before a brief stint with the Sound Tigers. In his three games with Bridgeport, the University of Alaska-Anchorage product posted a goal and two assists.

Both players will report to Bridgeport Tuesday for the continuation of Sound Tigers training camp.
