Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look for their fourth straight win when they host the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday night. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is slated for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Sean O'Sullivan (2-2, 3.86) gets the ball for the IronPigs on Tuesday. The San Diego native got the win in his last start on August 18 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after giving up one run (none earned) on three hits while walking two and fanning nine over 8.1 IP. The nine strikeouts matched the second-highest total of O'Sullivan's career while the 8.1 IP was the second longest outing by an IronPigs pitcher this season.
RHP Chad Jenkins (8-3, 2.26) will be on the bump for Buffalo. In eight starts this season, Jenkins is 2-1 with a 1.82 ERA. His last start came on August 15 at Syracuse when he tossed five shutout innings and earned the win. The right-hander will be making his fourth start of the year and fifth appearance overall against the IronPigs. To date, Jenkins is 1-0 with a 0.61 ERA against the Pigs and tossed four shutout innings on June 25 at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo.
After delivering a two-out, two-run double on Monday night, Pigs INF/OF Tyler Henson is now hitting .434-0-26 with runners in scoring position and two outs this season.
