Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will go for the sweep of the Toledo Mud Hens on Thursday night at Fifth Third Field. First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m.

LHP Kyle Ryan (0-9, 5.26) will be on the bump for Toledo on Thursday. Ryan was dealt the loss on Friday at Louisville after giving up six runs on 11 hits to go along with two walks and five strikeouts over 5.0 IP. The Auburndale, Fla. native will be making his second start of the year against the IronPigs. Back on July 22 at Coca-Cola Park, Ryan got the loss against the Pigs when he surrendered seven runs (four earned) on nine hits while walking two and fanning three in 4.2 IP.

After going 2-3 with a double and a triple on Wednesday night, Pigs OF Aaron Altherr has now hit safely in 32 of his first 40 games at the Triple-A level. In fact, since his promotion on June 23, Altherr is tied for the league lead in RBIs (34) and ranks second in runs scored (33) behind teammate Chase d'Arnaud.
