TONIGHT – IT'S BACK!!!

The Scott White Coach's Show is back on the air. Calloway's Bar and Grill will be hosting the first show this season. We will be also auctioning off our practice jerseys after the broadcast. It can be heard on ESPN 1230am Radio from 7 – 8pm (every Monday night). Calloways is located at 2410 Augusta Highway in West Columbia.

THE WEEK AHEAD

Friday, December 12th @ Florida Everblades 7:30pm Teco Arena

This is the first of two meetings this weekend between Florida and Columbia. The Inferno is 8-7-1 all-time against the Everblades. The last time these two teams met, the Inferno won 6-5 in a shootout on March 29th in Florida.

Saturday, December 13th @ Florida Everblades 7:30pm Teco Arena

Florida is currently in first place in the Southern Division with 32 points (14-4-4).

LAST WEEK Friday, December 5th Columbia 1 AUGUSTA 3

Columbia's seven game winning streak came to an end Friday night as the Augusta Lynx skated passed the Inferno 3-1. Brandon Nolan scored the lone goal for the Inferno at 4:03 of the first period. Nolan's goal triggered the 2nd Annual Teddy Bear Toss. There were 455 bears collected that will be used here in the Midlands for children all year long. Corey Hessler and Alex Burrows had the assist. Augusta scored two goals in the second period at 1:26 and 5:30. They added their third goal of the game at 15:46 of the third period. In a penalty filled game, the Inferno spent 74 minutes versus Augusta's 50 minutes in the penalty box. Columbia had 41 shots on goal but could not hang on and recorded their fourth loss of the season.

Saturday, November 29th Columbia 1 GWINNETT 3

Columbia drops to the Gwinnett Gladiators 3-1 as they lose their second in a row. Gwinnett started the scoring in the first period at 7:12 with a goal by Evan Nielsen with an assist by Kevin Doell. The Gladiators scored again in the second period as Chris Durno flipped the puck past Inferno goaltender Josh Blackburn to go ahead 2-0 at 4:40. At 15:44 of the third period, Paul Cabana scored his seventh goal of the season and the lone goal for the Inferno on a two-man advantage power play. Jesse Schultz and Chris Pittman had the assist. Gwinnett's Blue Bennefield scored just 36 seconds later to give the Gladiators a 3-1 win. Blackburn stopped 38 of 41 shots on goal and the Inferno went 1 for 6 on the power play.
