Myrtle Beach Thunderboltz News Release

FLORENCE, SC – The Florence Pride, proud members of the ECHL, announced today that Colortyme Rent-to-Own, and the team, will join forces for the "March Madness" promotion. Colortyme will award a big-screen television to the Pride's Most Valuable Player, as well as to one lucky Pride fan.

During all Pride home games in March, fans will have the opportunity to vote for this season's Most Valuable Player. The player who receives the most votes will receive a 52-inch RCA television from Colortyme. In addition, one fan who voted for that player will be chosen at random to receive a big-screen television of their own. The presentations will be made at the Pride's final home game of the regular season on April 2 against the Greensboro Generals. Look for more details on this promotion as the season progresses.

"We are excited to team up with the Florence Pride and present the team MVP and a fan with a big-screen television," said Bob Kogler, president of the Florence location of Colortyme. "This should be an exciting promotion during the month of March. We look forward to having a lot of fans come out to the games to be able to vote for the Pride MVP."

"The Pride are thrilled to have Colortyme step up and sponsor this year's Most Valuable Player award," Pride Senior Vice President Jack Capuano said. "Not only will our MVP receive a great prize, but one of our great fans will also benefit from this promotion. Bob has been a loyal season-ticket holder and sponsor for the last two seasons, and we look forward to working with him on this promotion."
