Inaugural Galaxy Cup up for Grabs

The Utica Comets have teamed up with the Syracuse Crunch to play for the inaugural Galaxy Cup presented by Dr. William Graber Weight Loss Surgery during the 2013-14 season.

The Galaxy Cup will be awarded to the team that has accumulated the most points over the teams' four-game series. The Comets and Crunch have played twice so far this season with the Comets collected three points, while the Crunch have collected two. The Crunch defeated the Comets 2-1 in a shootout on October 25th. The Comets skated past the Crunch 3-1, on January 31st, both games took place at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Galaxy Communications is the home of both Comets and Crunch games. 94.9 K-ROCK carries all Utica games, while ESPN 97.7 FM Radio covers all Syracuse games.

K-ROCK and Galaxy Communications is also showcasing a Comets Caravan for tonight's Thruway Throwdown. Comets fans are encouraged to meet for the Comets Caravan at Babe's Macaroni Bar & Grill by 5:30 tonight. All vehicles in the convoy will have their Thruway tolls (to Exit 34A) paid for by K-ROCK's Rainman.
