Monarchs Release Gale

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released right wing A.J. Gale from his professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Gale, 26, recorded 11 points (8-311), 14 penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating in 27 games with the Monarchs this season. He tallied his first American Hockey League point, a goal, against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on December 1, 2013. Prior to joining Manchester in November of 2013, Gale had collected 17 points (5-1217) and 12 penalty minutes in 13 games with the Central Hockey League's Denver Cutthroats this season. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, made his AHL debut with the Lake Erie Monsters on February 21, 2013. He was held scoreless in four games with the Monsters last season. Gale led the Cutthroats with 46 goals and 84 points (46-3884) in 64 games during the 2012-13 season.
