Indy Fuel News Release
EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville IceMen scored four times in the third period to break a 2-2 tie with the Indy Fuel on Saturday night as they claimed a 6-2 victory at the Ford Center.
Mike Colantone opened the scoring for Indy when he tipped in a shot from the right point by Ben Marshall, redirecting it past IceMen goaltender Scott Greenham (28 saves) to make it 1-0 Fuel at 7:35 of the first period.
Then in the second, trailing 2-1, the Fuel knotted the game when Nick Petrecki's point shot found a way through traffic and deflected in off the goalpost at 17:04 for his third goal of the season with assists from Matt White and Dylan Clarke.
In the third the IceMen broke the game open with four unanswered goals starting with Andrew Harrison's eventual game-winner at 2:51 of the final frame.
The Fuel wrap the season series against Evansville with a 7-3-1-0 mark in 11 games.
Indy hosts the Cincinnati Cyclones tomorrow afternoon at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Community Health Network Family Fun Day at 3:05 pm. Bring your skates for a post-game skate with the team following the contest. The Morellis Cleaners Indy Fuel pregame show starts 15 minutes prior to puck drop for the webcast on CBSSports1430.com and via the TuneIn Radio app.
