ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Atlanta's Barteaux fined, suspended

Atlanta's Ian Barteaux has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #828, Atlanta at South Carolina, on March 11.

Barteaux is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 15:25 of the third period as he exited the playing surface.

Barteaux will miss Atlanta's game at South Carolina tonight (March 12).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Brampton's Billingsley fined, suspended

Brampton's Tim Billingsley has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #824, Orlando at Brampton, on March 11.

Billinglsey is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of an unpenalized boarding penalty at 12:53 of the third period.

Billingsley will miss Brampton's game against Orlando on March 13.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Tulsa's Nugent fined

Tulsa's Brian Nugent has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #819, Tulsa at Missouri, on March 11.

Nugent is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his slashing penalty at 19:31 of the third period.

Additionally, the ECHL Hockey Operations Department has rescinded Nugent's instigating penalty under Rule #46.12

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
