Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
11/9/05 Long Beach 5 vs. Phoenix 4 (SO)
The Ice Dogs got back to .500 with a win at Phoenix in the first ever game between the two teams. The Ice Dogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals by Ash Goldie and Sean McAslan, before the Roadrunners scored three straight in the second to go up 3-2. Derick Martin and Chris Kenady scored in the third and Greg Hewitt shut out Phoenix the rest of the way in overtime, stopping all four shootout attempts for the win. The Ice Dogs peppered Phoenix goaltender Mike Mole with 42 shots on goal.
11/11/05 Long Beach 3 vs. Phoenix 2 (SO)
The Ice Dogs won again in Phoenix Friday night, in what was their third straight shootout game. The teams alternated goals, with Mike Woodford and Ash Goldie scoring for Long Beach. Greg Hewitt was again strong in overtime, winning his league leading third shootout victory with a 23 save effort. Again goaltender Mike Mole was busy for Phoenix, facing 47 Long Beach shots. The win improved the Ice Dogs record over the last six games to 5-0-1.
11/12/05 Long Beach 1 vs. Utah 5
Returning home to face the Utah Grizzlies in the first ever ECHL match-up between the two teams, the Grizzlies put an end to the Ice Dogs six game unbeaten streak with a 5-1 drubbing. Utah took a commanding 4-0 lead in the second period before Chris Kenady got Long Beach on the board with a power play goal. Greg Hewitt took the loss with 27 saves while Alfie Michaud got the win and 33 saves.
11/13/05 Long Beach 0 vs. Utah 2
Trying to rebound from a disappointing loss the night before, the Ice Dogs were again stumped by the Utah Grizzlies, this time getting shutout at home. It was the first time since February 25 of last season the Ice Dogs have been unable to score a goal at home. Greg Hewitt had 18 saves in the loss while Alfie Michaud got the shutout making 21 saves.

11/19/05 Long Beach @ Bakersfield
The only game this week for the Ice Dogs will be Saturday night when they head to Bakersfield to take on the Condors. It will be the first game this season for these two division rivals. Last year the Ice Dogs finished 5-3-2 against the Condors.
