Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji has been recalled by Manchester. Fukufuji last played for the Royals in the team's 7-4 win over the Dayton Bombers last Friday night, when he made 21 stops on 25 shots. Fukufuji has played four games with the Royals this season going 2-1-1 and compiling a 3.20 goals against average and a save percentage of .907.

In a separate transaction, the Royals loaned forward John Morlang to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL. Morlang also scored the Royals' first goal (on the team's first shot) in the 5-2 win over the Bombers on Saturday night. Over the course of the season, Morlang has three goals and two assists in nine games with Reading.

The Royals next game is Friday night at the Sovereign Center against the Dayton Bombers (7:00 p.m.). Reading will wear New Orleans Brass commemorative jerseys that night, which will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds going to benefit the victims of the recent natural disasters in the Gulf Coast and Florida. Fans will also receive a Cody Rudkowsky trading card courtesy of the American Red Cross. On Saturday night, the South Carolina Stingrays visit the Sovereign Center for the one and only time in the regular season this year. Hockey's most prestigious prize, the Stanley Cup will be at the Sovereign Center that night. Fans will have an opportunity to have a photograph taken with the Cup, as the Royals, the ECHL, and NHL join forces to raise money and awareness for the victims of the recent hurricanes in the southern United States.
