Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans finished their three-game homestand before heading on the road for a three-game, three-day weekend.

Martin Houle registered his first professional shutout with a 45-save performance in the Titans' 3-0 victory over the Reading Royals on Wednesday. Captain Chris Thompson notched two goals on the evening as Trenton went 9-for-9 on the penalty kill.

On Friday, the Titans found themselves down in the first period 2-0 to the Johnstown Chiefs, but Chris Pittman and Mathieu Brunelle helped Trenton send the contest through overtime and into the shootout. There, Houle stopped 6-of-8 Chiefs shooters, as Ned Havern scored in the eighth round to clinch the win, 3-2.

The following night against the Toledo, Ken Magowan tallied two, power play goals as the Storm went for 3-for-10 on the man advantage against the Titans. Scott May's shorthanded goal was only marker for the Titans in a 4-1 loss to Toledo, the first regulation road loss of the season for Trenton.

On the final game of the weekend, Ned Havern scored nineteen seconds into the game to put the Titans up 1-0 over the Dayton Bombers. The Bombers, however, would score the next three goals to defeat the Titans 3-1.

Trenton now stands in fourth place in the North Division at 5-3-1.
