Hitmen Select 11 Players In The 2007 Whl Bantam Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen drafted 11 players in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft including five defencemen, five forwards and a goalie. With the team's first pick the Hitmen selected Austin Madaisky (mud-ICE-key) 14th overall.
Madaisky is a 15-year-old 6'1", 165-pound defenceman from Surrey, BC. He won a Western Canadian Bantam Championship with the Burnaby Winter Club Bruins.
"Overall we've drafted a good blend of size and skill," said Hitmen Head Scout Brad Whelen, who will keep tabs on their development next season. "We take care of making sure our prospects are in the right mindset and are doing the necessary things to have a chance to play in the Western Hockey League."
