Bruins select Sundher seventh overall

Chilliwack BC - May 3, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce that they have selected Kevin Sundher of Surrey BC with their First Round pick, seventh overall, in the 2007 WHL Draft.

Sundher, As a member of the Burnaby Winter Club, played 66 games this past season, notching 77 goals and 96 assists for 173 points. Sundher also compiled 196 PIM and Captained his team to the Western Canadian Bantam Championship.

"We are excited and delighted to select Kevin Sundher with our first pick." General Manager Darrell May states. "Sundher has great vision of the ice as well as a tremendous set of wheels and will fit well into our up-tempo style of play"

When contacted at his home in Surrey BC, Sundher was delighted with the selection. "I am thrilled and ecstatic to be selected by the Chilliwack Bruins. I believe it will be a great fit for myself and my family and I can't wait to play with Bruin players like (2006 First Round Selection) Ryan Howse."
