
Chilliwack Bruins Unveil 2007 Draft Selections

Chilliwack BC - May 3, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins took part in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft in Calgary, AB, stocking their club with players born in 1992. The Bruins selected ten players in total.
Darrell May, General Manager of the Bruins, is pleased with how the draft turned out for Chilliwack. "The Bruins are excited with today's selections. We feel that we not only added skill players, but also character players, which is a bonus."
The first five players selected by the Bruins in this year's draft either had a captain's 'C' or an assistant Captain's 'A' on their jersey this past season.
Kevin Sundher of Surrey BC was the first selection, seventh overall, for Chilliwack today. Sundher, As a member of the Burnaby Winter Club, played 66 games this past season, notching 77 goals and 96 assists for 173 points. Sundher also compiled 196 PIM and captained his team to the Western Canadian Bantam Championship.
"We are excited and delighted to select Kevin Sundher with our first pick." General Manager Darrell May states. "Sundher has great vision of the ice as well as a tremendous set of wheels and will fit well into our up-tempo style of play"
When contacted at his home in Surrey BC, Sundher was elated with the selection. "I am thrilled and ecstatic to be selected by the Chilliwack Bruins. I believe it will be a great fit for myself and my family and I can't wait to play with Bruin players like (2006 First Round Selection) Ryan Howse."

Dylan McKinlay

Bruins GM Darrell May: "We feel Dylan is a prototypical Bruin. He's a very good skater, and has a physical element to his game as well as leadership skills. McKinlay was Captain of the Langley Bantam AAA team last season. Moves the puck well and great vision."
Tyler Stahl
Position: Defense
