Hitmen Make Major Trade at 2019 WHL Bantam Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced they have acquired Vancouver Canucks 2018 second-round pick Jett Woo from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for import defenceman Vladislav Yeryomenko, forward Ryder Korczak, the 11th overall selection in today's 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, and a second-round pick in 2021.

"We are very excited to add one of the WHL's elite puck moving defencemen in Jett to our lineup," said Hitmen General Manager Jeff Chynoweth. "He is an impact player at both ends of the ice and will be a tremendous complement to our existing group. We would also like to thank both Ryder and Vladislav for their time in Calgary and wish them success moving forward with the Warriors."

Woo, a product of Winnipeg, MB was the WHL's fifth highest scoring defenceman this past season collecting 66 points in 62 games. He has tallied 114 points (26g, 88a) in 178 regular season contests during parts of four seasons with the Warriors while adding eight points (2g, 6a) in 30 career playoff games.
