
Herauf and Tifu recalled to AHL; Lee activated off IR

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that forwards Brad Herauf and Yannick Tifu have been recalled to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.
Herauf heads to the AHL for the first time in his four-year career sporting eight points (3g, 5a) in 16 games with the Everblades this season. The 26-year-old has played a total of 80 games as an Everblade dating back to last season and overall has notched 142 points (65g, 77a) and amassed 1,159 penalty minutes in 282 career games which includes two seasons in the ECHL with the Utah Grizzlies.
For Tifu the trek to Albany is the second of the season. The 24-year-old began the 2008-09 season with the River Rats where he saw action in nine games. He was reassigned to the Blades on Nov. 3 and since that time has posted 28 points (6g, 22a) in 20 games. Last season Tifu saw a total of 24 games of action in the AHL with Albany and Rochester while also spending 39 games in the ECHL with the Dayton Bombers. The Brossard, Quebec native has notched 254 career points in 246 games dating back to his rookie season in 2006-07.
In addition the Everblades activated forward Mark Lee from the 30-day injured reserve list. Lee has been out of the Everblades lineup since suffering an injury on November 21. The 24-year-old returns to the lineup with seven assists in nine games this season.

The Everblades return to action on Saturday, December 27 when they travel to Gwinnett to take on the Gladiators from the Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:05 p.m.! The Everblades' next home game is Wednesday, December 31 when they host the Charlotte Checkers for a special 6:00 pm. New Year's Eve start!
