BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors scored five unanswered goals to come from behind for a 7-3 victory over the Stockton Thunder before 5,449 fans at Rabobank Arena Friday night.

The two clubs exchanged tallies in the first frame, with Stockton (10-15-4, 24pts) leading 3-2 at the end of the period. The first three tallies of the game came in a span of just 54 seconds. Down 1-0, F Tylor Michel pushed in his second of the season at 5:33, only to have the Thunder pull back in front 26 seconds later. C Dave Bonk, playing in his first game since mid-November after spending a month on injured reserve, potted his seventh of the season at 11:30 to make it 2-2. But C Jeff Kyrzakos gave the visitors a 3-2 lead with a goal at 18:46.

The second period belonged to the Condors (10-14-4, 24pts) and G Ryan Nie, who replaced starter Yutaka Fukufuji between the pipes at the beginning of the frame, and made 17 second period saves. Meanwhile, goals by Michel, F Andrew Ianiero and RW Chad Painchaud propelled the Condors out in front, 5-3, after 40 minutes. RW Mike Wirll picked up a pair of nifty helpers on the last two tallies to help Bakersfield take the lead.

The Condors padded their lead with a pair in the third frame. F Matt Pope picked up his team-leading 16th of the season at 10:24. Less than a minute later, Wirll notched his fourth of the campaign, finishing off a 2-on-1 with C Brett Pilkington to account for the final margin. Nie picked up the win between the pipes, stopping all 31 shots he faced in the relief appearance.
