Johnstown Chiefs News Release

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Chiefs game against the Elmira Jackals Saturday night was postponed due to unsafe ice conditions.

A hole in the net area was discovered shortly before game time. The referees pulled both teams off the ice, and after a 90 minute delay the game was cancelled.

The game was rescheduled for Sunday, December 28 at 1 pm. All tickets will be honored for Sunday's game or any other future home game. The Johnstown Chiefs apologize for the inconvenience.

All tickets that were purchased for tonight's game can be used as reserved seating for the rescheduled game tomorrow. If the ticket isn't used for tomorrow's game it can be used as a voucher for any remaining home game. Anyone purchasing walkup tickets for tomorrow's game will be issued a voucher that is good for general admission seating; meaning that the voucher is good for any seat in the arena.

Any questions can be directed Ray Schmitt at 814-539-1799 x 226.

Mark your calendars! The Chiefs are back on home ice Sunday, December 28th at 1:00 pm when they host the Elmira Jackals. The Chiefs are hosting Bad Gift Return Night. Fans are invited to bring their unwanted holiday gifts to the UMPC Health Plan Ice Rink, and they will be donated to a local charity. Good seats are still available, but going fast. Get yours today by calling 814-536-5156 or 1-800-SLAPSHOT.
