West Valley City, UT- The Idaho Steelheads (18-11-2) completed a weekend sweep of the Utah Grizzlies (11-13-4) with a 3-2 overtime win in Utah tonight.

Just like last night in Boise, Bryan McGregor broke the scoreless tie; however, tonight it did not happen until the 9:10 mark of the second period. Matt McKnight and Matt Stephenson picked up assists on McGregor's 11th goal, a power play tally. Ben Nelson converted on another power play, making it 2-0 at 15:02 of the second, with assists going to Marty Flichel and Darrell Hay.

James Sanford scored his fourth in the final minute of the second period to cut the Steelheads lead in half, making it a 2-1 game. Mike Walsh and Vladimir Nikiforov earned assists on the goal, which was a power play marker.

The lone goal of the third period came off the stick of Tim Verbeek; his 11th, a power play goal. Ryan Kinasewich and James Sanford picked up assists on the goal.

Regulation time did not do the trick, but in overtime the Steelheads picked up the crucial second point when Mark Bomersback streaked in and beat Utah goalie Michael Mole, who was making his 26th straight start for the Grizzlies tonight. The goal was Bomersback's 5th, and was assisted by Marty Flichel and Adam Welch.

Rejean Beauchemin stopped 25 of 27 shots for the win tonight, as he improved to 8-6-2. Michael Mole turned aside 42 of 45 shots in a losing effort for Utah, and his record fell to 9-13-4.
