Scero Traded to Cincinnati; Salekin and MacMurchy Placed on I.R.

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced forward Brandon Scero (SEER-oh) has been traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for future considerations.

In addition, it was announced defenseman Mike Salekin has been placed on the three-day injured reserve list and right wing Ryan MacMurchy has been placed on the 30-day injured reserve list. Veteran forward Damian Surma, who was signed by the Thunder as a free agent on Dec. 26, 2008, was officially added to the active roster.

Scero, 22, was originally acquired by the Thunder on Dec. 8, 2008 from the Elmira Jackals in exchange for future considerations and has amassed one goal in five games for the Thunder. Scero has skated in 20 combined games this season for the Thunder, Utah Grizzlies and Elmira Jackals, scoring seven points (4g-3a) while posting 20 penalty minutes.
