Stanley Cup In Dayton For Tonight Only

Dayton, OH- The Stanley Cup, the oldest and most prestigious trophy in professional sports, will be on display at the Dayton Bombers game TONIGHT at the Ervin J. Nutter Center starting at 6:30 p.m. as the Bombers take on the Reading Royals.

The Stanley Cup, the championship trophy of the National Hockey League, will make its second appearance in Dayton in four years, last visiting in 2005.

Fans can get their picture taken with the Cup with a requested minimum $5 donation to the Kyle Cannon Fund, benefitting the 14-year-old Ohio high school freshman who was recently paralyzed in a high school hockey game in Kettering.

Action at the Nutter Center TONIGHT!

TONIGHT at 7:30 p.m. as the Bombers take on the Reading Royals, the first 2,000 fans will receive a free team poster, courtesy of Kettering Health Networks.

Finally the Wheeling Nailers come to town on Sunday, December 28 at 5:00 p.m. as the Bombers host "Kyle Cannon Fundraiser Night" to raise money for the Cannon family. There will be a silent auction featuring items from the NHL, AHL, ECHL and collegiate teams. An extended one hour skate with the team will immediately follow the game. Featured silent auction items include: 2008-09 team autographed Boston Bruins jersey, 2005-06 team autographed Washington Capitals jersey (including Alex Ovechkin) and Alexander Semin autographed puck, Columbus Blue Jackets team autographed stick and Mike Commodore autographed helmet, Colorado Avalanche Joe Sakic autographed puck, Tampa Bay Lightning Dave Andreychuk autographed hat, New Jersey Devils Paul Martin autographed stick, New York Islanders Clark Gillies jersey and autographed photos from the Minnesota Wild and Edmonton Oilers. Also available for bidding is an Ohio State University team autographed stick, a 2008-09 Cincinnati Cyclones team autographed stick and helmet, a game-worn Dan Fritsche USA 2005 WJC jersey and many more items from the ECHL and NCAA teams. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Cannon Family Fund, along with chuck-a-puck proceeds and 50/50 raffle sales.
