Harrisburg Senators News Release
TONIGHT'S GAME: The Senators and Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) play game three of their six-game series tonight at FNB
Field in Harrisburg. This is the second of three series between the two teams this season as they'll play 18 total games with 6 in
Erie and 12 at FNB Field. Erie returns to Harrisburg in August to play a six-game at FNB Field. Erie holds a 5-1 advantage in
the season series.
LAST TIME OUT: Tuesday night at FNB Field, the Erie SeaWolves used the longball to jump out to a big early lead, cruising to
a 7-0 win over the Senators. Erie scored three in the third and three more in the fourth with five of the six runs coming on home
runs. Harrisburg managed just three hits in the game, all doubles, as they dropped a second straight game to Erie.
ABOUT THE SEAWOLVES: The SeaWolves, a Tigers affiliate since 2001, play their home games at UPMC Park (6,000).
UPMC Park recently underwent a massive renovation that included new offices, new stadium club, upgraded suites, and
upgraded clubhouse. They've made the playoffs twice as a Tigers affiliate including in 2013 when they played the Senators.
END OF THE FIRST HALF: The first half of the season came and went Sunday evening. In the Southwest Division, the
Richmond Flying Squirrels finished in a tie with Akron but won the division by virtue of head-to-head meetings. In the Northeast
Division, Somerset won the first-half after beating Hartford in 10 innings Sunday afternoon, finishing a game in front of Hartford.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE SENS: After this week at home vs. Erie, the Senators head to Hartford for a six-game series
beginning Tuesday, July 11. It'll be the Senators first trip to Hartford since the 2019 season. After the series with Hartford, the
Senators have four off-days due to the MLB All-Star break. After the break, the Senators return to FNB Field to play Altoona in a
three-game series Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24.

TODAY IN SENATORS HISTORY: 1995: The city of Harrisburg buys its Class AA franchise from a quartet of owners that only
a few months earlier purchase the Senators for $4.1 million with a plan to relocate to Springfield, Mass. The $6.7 million sale -
then a record for a Class AA franchise - allows the Senators to stay in Harrisburg with the city taking ownership of the team. In
their first four full seasons with the city as their owners, the Senators win an Eastern League-record four straight titles from
1996-99.
