
Will Warren Throws Seven Dominant Innings in 5-0 Win for Somerset

Bridgewater, NJ - The Somerset Patriots (4-5, 48-30) shut out the Bowie Baysox (6-3, 33-45) by a final score of 5-0 at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday night.
Will Warren (4-2) pitched a dominant seven scoreless innings and struck out five batters to earn the win.
The Patriots got an early first inning rally going as Jesus Bastidas singled home Austin Wells from second before Rodolfo Duran brought in Brandon Lockridge on another RBI single to put Somerset up 2-0.
The runs continued to come in the bottom of the third on a Duran RBI double, as well as a Michael Beltre sacrifice fly that increased the Patriots lead to 4-0. Duran batted 2-for-5 on the night with two RBI.
Lockridge drove in a fifth run in the bottom of the sixth with a line drive single to right field that scored Chad Bell.
Noah Denoyer (0-2) allowed two earned runs in the first inning before being taken out in the loss.
The 2022 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home on Friday, July 8 with a 7:05 pm game against the Baysox at TD Bank Ballpark.
