
Sens Homer Twice in 7-6 Loss

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Senators dropped their third straight to Erie 7-6 Thursday night at FNB Field in front of 4,742 fans. Harrisburg scored first in the first to take a 1-0 lead. Erie took a 3-1 in the third but the Sens rallied for five runs between the fourth and fifth innings to take a 6-3 lead. The Senators couldn't hold the lead as Erie rallied for one run in the sixth and three more in the seventh and then hung on for the win. The Senators had the tying run at third base when the game ended.
Jake Irvin had his best and deepest start with the Senators, tossing six solid innings. He did allow four runs, just three earned, while walking two and striking out five. He retired the side in order three of his six innings. Andrew Lee followed and allowed three runs in the seventh inning and was saddled with his second loss. Danny Dopico pitched a scoreless ninth to keep the Sens to within a run.
Harrisburg scored three runs on three pitches in the sixth inning when Wilson Garcia homered, Justin Connell doubled and was followed by a two-run home run off the bat of Brady Lindsly. Connell had two doubles in the game, drove in two and scored once. Jack Dunn doubled, singled, and scored a run. Garcia doubled along with the home run. Harrisburg had four doubles in the game.
Harrisburg has dropped eight of nine games to the SeaWolves this season. The two teams have nine games remaining, all at FNB Field.
