
Yosver Zulueta Selected to MLB All-Star Futures Game

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Right-handed pitcher Yosver Zulueta of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, has been selected to participate in the 2022 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game on Saturday, July 16, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Zulueta made his Double-A debut last Thursday in Portland, and he is scheduled to make his first home start at Delta Dental Stadium Thursday night against Hartford. In six starts with High-A Vancouver, Zulueta went 1-3 with a 3.80 ERA and fanned 31 batters in 23.2 innings. He earned his first professional win in his final start with the Canadians June 23 at Hillsboro, allowing just one run in five innings.
The Remedios, Cuba native was signed by Toronto as an international free agent on June 11, 2019. Zulueta is ranked the No. 19 prospect in the Blue Jays organization, according to MLB Pipeline.
Toronto's top pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann, a left-hander with Vancouver who is MLB's No. 64 overall prospect, will join Zulueta at the Futures Game. Tiedemann is 5-2 with a 1.71 ERA in 13 starts combined between the Canadians and Single-A Dunedin. He has fanned 47 batters while issuing just eight walks in 33 innings at High-A.
The Fisher Cats continue a six-game home series against the Hartford Yard Goats Thursday at 7:05.
