Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Ontario Reign 4-3 in a shootout Friday night at Maverik Center as Utah native Trevor Lewis tallied one goal, one assist and was named the number one star of the game.

Lewis scored his first goal in a Utah uniform 17:22 into the first period as Brad Mills and Mitch Wahl setup the score with the Stanley Cup Champion in the right circle.

Lewis setup Utah's second goal as he slapped a shot in transition that was hammered home by Mills for his team-leading 14th goal of the season to give Utah a 2-1 lead 5:17 into the second period. Mills (15) added another score to make it 3-1 as he went shortside on Ontario goaltender J.F. Berube on a nice move up ice.

"It was an exciting game for the crowd, it was a great turnout," said Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley. "It was great to see Trevor get on the board early and help win us a game. I thought that line (Lewis, Mills, Colin Vock) was our best line. If we're going to be picky, we need everyone doing their part, we're a little too inconsistent making soft plays."

Ontario made it 3-2 with 14 seconds left in the second period and tied the game just past the halfway point of the third period deflecting in a power-play goal. Each team had several near misses in the overtime as Utah collected five of the seven total shots.

Bryan Cameron and Adam Estoclet both scored for Utah in the shootout and Andrew Engelage stopped Ontario's Dan DeSilva in round five to give Utah the victory.

Engelage stopped 37 of 40 through overtime to improve to 6-3 as he saw his first action since suffering his second injury in 11 days on November 10.

The Grizzlies return home Saturday to host Ontario again. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. After the game, fans can skate on the ice; skate rental is $2.
