Two teams that are very familiar with one another will square off at Wings Stadium, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight is the 10th of 16 meetings this season between the teams. On the season, Kalamazoo is 4-4-1-0 this season versus the Komets.
Coming off the holiday break, the K-Wings will return home trying to snap a season-high four-game (0-3-1-0) winless streak. Kalamazoo enters the evening tied with the Evansville IceMen for fourth place in the North Division, five points behind Fort Wayne.
Dropping back-to-back contests, the Komets are 3-5-1-0 in their last nine games, with all three of their victories coming against the K-Wings. With 30 points, Fort Wayne is in third place in the North Division, five points behind the second place Toledo Walleye.

Earlier today, the K-Wings have placed defenseman Kyle Page on the team's 21-Day Injured Reserve List. In a separate transaction, Kalamazoo has activated forward Steven Anthony off the reserve.
Nearing a Milestone Defenseman Sam Ftorek is closing in on a personal milestone. Ftorek needs one more point to reach 600 for his career.
