Grizzlies Beat Idaho 5-2

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (15-10-2-0) defeated the Idaho Steelheads (22-6-0-2) 5-2 Saturday night at the E-Center.

Utah built a 3-0 first period lead with Ryan Kinasewich starting the scoring on a feed from behind the net from AJ Perry. The goal was Kinasewich's league leading 20th of the year. Utah then took over with two goals in 28 seconds to make their lead 1-0 to 3-0 as Tim Crowder (1) and Hugo Carpentier (1) each added goals with Tony Romano drawing two assists as the line combined for the two quick scores to extend the lead.

Utah made it 5-0 at the second intermission with goals from Tom May (11) and Bobby Hughes (1). Tony Romano assisted the May goal for his third point of the night.

Parker Van Buskirk stopped 17 of 19 shots in the game.

Matt Clarke added two assists for his first career multiple-point game.

Utah completes their home stand Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. and Thursday at 6:05 p.m. hosting Victoria at the E-Center.
