Grizzlies beat Fresno, 5-2

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (12-11-0-3) defeated the Fresno Falcons 5-2 Tuesday night at the E-Center.

The Grizzlies jumped up 2-0 in the first 6:24 of the game with Jason Pitton and Rob Sirianni getting goals.

Utah took a 4-1 lead into the second intermission following a second period breakaway goal by Trevor Smith and a power-play goal by Travis Rycroft.

In the third, Rob Sirianni added another Utah goal scoring on a breakaway to make the game 5-1.

Sirianni (two goals, one assist), Rycroft (one goal, two assists) and Jason Pitton (one goal, one assist) all had multiple-point games.

Mike Mole (9-5-0-2) stopped 20 of 22 shots in the win.

The Grizzlies complete their ten-game home stand tomorrow hosting Fresno once again. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
